Introduction to Multicultural Workshops
Open to Individuals and Groups
Each of our Multicultural Workshops is unique and stresses learning to appreciate the impact of differences. All Workshops combine personal and group experiential learning with examination of power imbalances on four levels - personal, interpersonal, cultural, and institutional.
Who Should Attend
The trainings are ideally suited for individuals and groups who are working in multicultural environments, experiencing race-related problems or other oppression issues, or wanting to be re-energized in their commitment to changing racism, sexism, classism, ageism, and other "isms."
Workshop participants have included human resource directors, mental health providers, affirmative action officers, educators, managers, health care providers, political leaders, religious leaders, technicians, laborers and tradesmen, and individuals in both public and private sectors.
Workshop Leaders
Workshop leaders are experienced VISIONS consultants who are committed to achieving multicultural environments where "isms" no longer limit human potential. They have worked together to develop cooperative relationships as cofacilitators. In both Workshop content and process, leaders model the approach they teach.
Our open workshops include:
- Personal Approach to Multiculturalism (4-Day Multiculuturalism) and
- Ongoing Multicultural Skill-building Groups (Peer Supervision)
Other open workshops are:
- Youth Development Workshop, and
- ACESS End of Life Care
