Customized Workshops

Customized experiential workshops and training seminars provide a forum for participants to discuss how racial and cultural differences impact behaviors in the workplace. Barriers to cross-cultural communication such as racism, sexism, ageism and other "isms" are discussed. Participants are encouraged to use their own experience to better understand the connection between "isms" and internalized oppression.

VISIONS' training sessions cover creative ways for people to address the tension related to issues of diversity, Affirmative Action, EEO policies, reduction in workforce, promotion, and seniority policies. Our goal in the training is to help participants learn, both cognitively and affectively, how to increase their ability to recognize, understand, and appreciate diversity in their workplace or community setting.

Coaching and Consultation

VISIONS offers ongoing coaching and feedback for executives, senior managers, or organizational leaders. This can be helpful in developing a plan detailing how organizations can innovatively draw on differences among staff.

Consultations are a proven way to help organizations improve the quality of work life, enhance the organizational climate and increase morale. We offer organizational development consultation from a multicultural perspective. This is especially critical during periods of staff reductions, mergers, implementation of new work systems, and rapid expansion.

Individual and group clinical services are offered on an ongoing weekly, biweekly, monthly and quarterly basis. Psychological and mediation services with individuals, couples, families and intact teams are used to develop and improve interpersonal relationships through an ongoing consultation process.
